  1. Valuejet media sensor question

Is it possible to knock the media sensors off on my VJ1604? I am sick of the machine saying media end when there is polenty material in the machine. I have covered the sensor with a bit of vinyl but this eventually comes off!!! SC

  3. Looking for.........

I guess your looking for a maintenance manual. That manual is just what you get when you buy the machine. I would love to find a maintenance manual. Someone must have one.... SC

Maybe sound a weird question but what's a maintence station? Sean
  5. Mutoh Valuejet Service Contract Question

Rebranded as it is a Uniform Lancer which means they painted it blue!!!! So is it worth taking a contract out? We bought this as a bundle with a plotter and laminator. Last month the plotter died and it took the company that is offering the service contract 3 weeks to come out and repair it...
  6. Mutoh Valuejet Service Contract Question

We have a rebranded Valuejet 1604 it is coming up to 1 year old and comes out of warranty in a months time. We have been given a rather high price to put this into a service contract (which doesn't include the printhead!). The question is, is it worth it or should I just service the machine...
  7. Moving my 1604 Valuejet

What's a head lock bracket? What does it look like and where does it go? Sean
  8. Anyone here have Signlab?

I am a long time user of Signlab. I am using 7.1 and I don't see much cause for upgrading to 8. Signlab 7.1 can support pulg-ins also! This programme is wonderfull for making and designing signs. But (and here is a big BUT) I would never ever use it to run a wide format printer. We have...
  9. Moving my 1604 Valuejet

Is there any special things to do when moving the valuejet. We are moving premises and although only a mile away I thought maybe there was some special things to lock off and empty! Thanks Sean
  10. ValueJET 64" Printing GRAYS

Used to use Signlab as the RIP and to be quiet honest it couldn't RIP toilet tissue!! Using Wasatch RIP never had a problem. Greys are Greys in Wasatch unlike burgundies and greens of signlab. My advice use a proper RIP not a Sign programme. Sean
  11. BIG Mutoh Problem

I had a similair problem and I remember doing exactly what you did and it came back on!!!! Weird Ehh!!? I haven't reported the problem but maybe we should. SC
  12. Value Jet 64" Banding Issues

Weird one as I used a jv3 before we got our VJ1604 and banding is no longer an issue. Strangley so is blocked heads. Great Machine. It is just like a rather large desktop printer. Put Stuff in it and it prints it.....LOL SC
  13. Lyson 2100 ink for valuejet 1204

That's a great price. Our supplier here in the UK is charging a rip off £69 ($138) per 220ml OE cartridge!!!! I have knocked him down to £49 but that still works out to $98! Only had the machine 3 months so will only change when the warranty is up!!! I've had a look on the site looks real...
  14. Vj 1604

I am running waswatch on our vj 1604. Never had a problem with it. Use to use Signlab on our previous printer and because of the amount of problems like what you are having swore I would never use a sign programme to do a Print/RIP job again. We have even gone as far as a stand alone computer...
  15. Valuejet

Well we had our new Lancer 64", (rebranded in the UK Valuejet 64") Plotter and cold laminator on Friday. There is only one word WOW It is stunning. I was previously using a friends Mimaki JV3 for the past 3-4 months which was good this machine blows it away. And I had advised the friend...

Thanks a lot people.:thumb: you know what it is like when buying something new you can never decide. And there is never a good time to buy new machinery. As when you do you find something better and even cheaper the day after it arrives. Time to bite the bullet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sean:brittain:
