You ever check out font EULAs? Your breaking the law by receiving them from clients, most likely, okay, so they send you a PDF, oh, not on all. You embed a font in a .pdf back, oh, broke the EULA.
EULAS are an insane way of restricting a customer. It is not fair use, by almost any means...

I have tried some (Shovelheads post) but not the rest. I will. I don't use Corel too much, but I have a ton of them, 4 two mac two PC and X3 on the way in the spring.
I have a hard time getting my kerning as I deem fit in CorelDraw, 8, 8 Mac, 11 Mac and 12. In every other program I use (Quark, Indesign, Illustrator, Freehand, even the old LetraStudio) I am able to kern numerically. While each program mentioned is different, slightly, in CorelDraw I can't get...
only problem is, can you convert to CMYK? I think for general purposes Inkscape and Gimp are good and cheap. Most pros won't use freebies, because they think there is some fatal flaw in them, which I disagree with. I think if more pros used Gimp they would make it where more professional...

Scan at 300 dpi at the final size you want. if you want a 4 x 5 to be 8 x 10 Scan at 300 dpi and set your Percentage at 200 percent.
