    i will never claim to be a computer whiz...but have you checked it for viruses and spyware? i wouldn't want to move files off that computer and onto another if there's a possibility they could be infected....

    try inkscape for the auto trace....it's a really strong program for vector based art too...but the auto trace is to die for.....besides, it's free.....
