is there something off in your artwork?? try setting a bleed and see if the problem goes away...

i'm assuming this is a CMYK printer since it's a desktop printer....pink haze means the magenta registration is off.....but if i may, why are printing biz cards off a desktop printer?? there are so many biz card printers out there that give such a better quality that a desktop printer....inkjet...

google primoPDF....it's a print driver that prints any file to a PDF....you select the resolution and compression.....i use it for customer sketches.....

with a gerber plotter...the key is SLOWING THE MACHINE DOWN....and it has to be set for sequential plot.....i've been cutting mag on gerber plotters pretty much since i started in this industry (2001), and haven't had ANY issues....well, other than the punch pattern from gerber being off...

this may sound stupid, but do you have a thumb drive plugged in anywhere?? i've found that some versions of windows won't load if you have a thumb drive plugged in...
