  1. Has Anyone Else Experienced This?

We get some pretty good lightning storms here sometimes. I lost electrical equipment even though they have been on surge protectors. I have left my printer (sp-300) unplugged for a whole wkend at least a half dozen times and (knock on wood) come back on mon plug everything in and be right up and...
  2. Any VersaWORKS 3.2.1 guinea pigs yet?

Called Roland and they had me re-initialize and so far so good (knock on wood) I have also disabled the automatic updates. So much for a good idea.
  3. Estimate Software

Bob, not to pi$$ in anyone's cornflakes here but you and I are on obvious different levels. I don't come close to having the skill to put together pricing software. So therefore I am more than happy to use a "canned" version. Following your thought process I should also be making all of my own...
  4. Estimate Software

To those that have the software and say that it's to time consuming to learn to use, make the time! You had to learn whatever graphics software your using. Someone posted earlier to the person that asked for the best way to use X3 to just USE IT! I'm also not referring to any particular...
  5. Estimate Software

We do signs and shirts. LOVE Estimate for signs. Tried their screen printing plug ins. Didn't care for them to much. We use PriceIt for shirts. Also LOVE that. I would never be without pricing software again!
  6. Those blasted 18x24 Cor-x signs!

These signs are advertising for anyone that buys them. Have any of them even looked into the cost of any other advertising? A one time ad the size of a business card can run in the hundreds depending on the where it's published. I just got a call from a state run agency putting together ads in a...
  7. Decal Numbering

Thanks...wasn't sure what to even search under
  8. Decal Numbering

I have a customer that is looking to get decals that are numbered. Each one will be numbered differently. Starting with 001 to 250. Is there a way do do this beside doing each one by hand. We use CorelX3 and versaworks for our rip. Thanks...Tom
  9. What Color Palette doe you use

Custom, if you have a Versacamm there is a CMYK palette you can load into Corel. You can also print a CMYK chart right from Versaworks onto what ever material you'll be printing on. Sorry, I don't remeber where in Versaworks it is or how to load it. I had someone at roland walk me though it.
  10. Plastic material holders

Does anyone use the plastic holders that go into the end of the rolls on your versacamm. On long prints the stinkin things want to walk their way out of the roll. Should I just not use them or am I missing something. I do lock the collars up against them but that does'nt seem to help. Tom
  11. Oracal 3651

HO...I tried that setting and the print came out pretty good. Just wasn't sure if there was a more appropriate setting for the vinyl.
  12. Oracal 3651

Sorry...that would be good to know. VersaCamm SP300V w/Max inks and Versa Works
  13. Oracal 3651

I downloaded the color profile from Oracal's site. It only gives me the option to print in the Standard Mode which takes 10 mins to print a yard sign sized graphic. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a way to make it print on this vinyl in the High Speed Mode. Thanks :-) I am...
  14. Incomplete Cutting

Thanks all for your help. I hope to someday return the favor.
  15. Incomplete Cutting

I use VersaWorks for the RIP. I will try setting the margin, not sure how :-) but I will look into it when I get to the shop in the morning. Yes..nodes are all connected...but I will check that also.
  16. Incomplete Cutting

Sorry...yes it is an SP300. Plenty of downforce, it just does not cut one side of a decal such as a bummper sticker. It will cut around the rounded corners but will not complete the cut. We are located in Auburn NY.
  17. Incomplete Cutting

First post here, On some designs my 300 does not cut all the way around. Sometimes on bumper stickers (3x10) it will not cut one end or miss a small spot on other decals. It seems to be hit and miss and no real reason for it. Thanks for taking the time.
