  2. puppymonkeybaby?

I agree with the OP. Any time family can get together, its never a waste of time. As for your pass time Bob......some may think that "roping" an animal, then climbing on its back and galloping around is a waste of time. Seriously, I think riding a horse is a waste of time, when I can get...
  3. Help Opening File

I would not assume that a "flexi" file would provide a clue as to the level of talent. Hell, didn't SW give a copy of that with every $1600 plotter at one time? I'd wait until you were able to actually OPEN the file before you judge the level of talent. :Big Laugh I was agreeing with ya...
  4. Help Opening File

I'd say the only way a customer would have a Flexi file, is because they DID pay for the artwork. Although I would never give them a flexi file. Ai...PDF...EPS maybe...
  5. trouble client. Wants art files back.

Didn't you give them their external hard drive back, with all the image files still on there? If they didn't save them, then that's their problem.
  6. Its worse than I could have imagined.......

while the OTHER "professional" sign shop came up with the worst of the bunch, I can perhaps see why you struck out. While yours is very nice looking (very nice indeed), it does have that "Sports team" rah rah zip boom bah look. Another thing.....why wouldn't you use the wording "Animal...

  11. What materials can I find at Home Depot to apply vinyl to?

  12. My First HDU Sign

its 2 sheets of .020 aluminum (with a painted finish), with a plastic core sandwiched in between. Its like 1/8" thick. Very rigid (no oil-canning like .040 aluminum) and its fairly cheap. Its like 1/2 to 2/3 the price of .080 alum. there are a number of manufacturers that make a similar...
  13. My First HDU Sign

wouldn't mind seeing a better picture of the 3-D router work. You have some serious money in materials (300-400 in the bare HDU alone). From the pictures, I can't see much "relief" Pretty nice layout for your first sign. (now paint that pole!!!)

  18. Reflective for low-energy plastic?

if part of the body is textured, then I don't think you have much choice but to use the Pit-Bull.
  19. Trouble with lights

I would say the "C" alone is drawing about 8-10 watt (judging from the number of LED's in the reflection). Althouh.... I would agree with you... I think the LED's themselves may be the problem.
