A lot of the larger panels for DOT (mutcd) are .125.
I seem to recall, even a 4x3 panel is spec'd for .125 and not .080
(a little bit of worthless trivia for ya)))))
I would be comfortable with the 6mm ACM with the frame on one side and enough fender washers on the other.
I personally have never seen 6mm tear (unlike the 3m)...... but will go with J Hill's expertise on this one. :thumb:
Bill, when you say "frame"..... is there some type of 'retainer" holding the sign in? If that is the case, I'd go with the 1/4" ACM. It won't flex as much in the wind.
If no retainer, then go with the .080
I can only imagine that the bottom tenant panel must have sagged and OOZED to the point of obstructing the view of traffic, inevitably leading up to the crash???
sorry I couldn't resist. jk Bill
The OP asked for an adhesive recommendation
You reply back by telling him he's doing it wrong, along with incorrect information that "physical fasteners" are better. You go on to insinuate his sign will "OOZE" down if not done your way.
The spiraling downward motion began when your hands...
The key here is to know the "tools of your trade".
ps. Its kinda cool to know I can kindle that much emotion with only a handful of words, to receive an "honorable mention".
NOW THATS awesome.
If indeed that were true, and you never mentioned "mechanical" fastners, then why on earth...
Very nice truck to get your feet wet.
I guarantee you won't regret it.
That size truck will probably do 90% of the work you do.....and is inexpensive to operate.
While the towable manlift sounds like a great option...... its a pain in the butt compared to hopping in that truck.
You then go on to say.......
Your only saving grace is...... we have slim saying more "high horse purple" things than you.
(this isn't a reference to anything "My Lil Pony" is it???)
So they didn't let you have the $3900 job for $390??????
Guess you were dealing with some real...
Sweat shirts, hoodies and stocking hats.......geez. Thought you lived in Paradise? :Big Laugh
So how careful did you have to be with the WallDeco material?
Nice.
Only one small tweak that stands out to me. I would have kept the sides below the cement cap by increasing the arched top.
The angle cut on the top corners looks like an "onsite" quick fix.
Only another signmaker would notice)))))). Overall very nice.
What are the letters made of? PVC?
I went to the US Open a number of years ago, and actually got invited to accompany Steve Stricker for an "after hours" practice round (actually 5 or 6 holes).
The first day of play he was tied for 2nd. I like to think my "golf tips" had something to do with that. (kidding).
