  1. Does anyone charge for site visits?

I always charge for site surveys 90% of the time. We cover the entire state so I'll be damned if I'll go two hours away for free. But when bidding on a state or government job, generally you cannot charge for it.
  2. Ruler with cutting blade

This is the best tool ever, I use it for Coroplast, Sintra, Magnets, etc. Perfect line and cuts great. http://www.image1impact.com/foamboard-straight-cutter
  3. Storefront vs Home Based Business?

Yes it does work for some people if you have the right property and house with a building. But average people are out in the boonies, in a HOA sub division or in a city with only two allowed parking spots per house / room for one or two vehicles. So if the OP is an average person it would not...
  4. Storefront vs Home Based Business?

My goal has always been to keep growing and expanding, hiring more employees, buying more equipment, etc. So home based doesn't work for me. Basically it can be a big hassle to be home based, but if you want to be small and have 0 to maybe 2 employees and not grow, it works well. I just want to...
  5. Storefront vs Home Based Business?

I started out as a home based business and then went to commercial. Home based was a nightmare, here is some reasons why. #1. Everyone knows your home phone number or cell phone number and call at the crack of dawn or late at night. #2. The county doesn't allow any customers to come to a home...

  8. Wrapped This Motorcycle

The entire bike not including cleaning was about 7 - 8 hours. It was a very slow process.
  9. Wrapped This Motorcycle

About 8" bigger than I needed, I didn't want any chance of coming up short, it took like 4 hours to wrap the gas tank alone and had to heat the same piece of vinyl like 4 times, it was nuts. Crazy curves, toughest I've ever done.
  10. Wrapped This Motorcycle

Thanks, I have a photo at the office of it before I started, I'll post that tomorrow so you can see how ugly it was with the yellow.
  11. Wrapped This Motorcycle

A buddy of mine bought this bike for $500. It was bright yellow and I wrapped it with Oracal 970RA Blue. Turned out nicely, he is happy.
  12. Installing 4 x 8 outdoor sign

1/4" would be better to prevent warping. Put in four lead anchors in the corners and drill in. You could also put one in the 4' middle of the top and bottom to support the middle. Sounds like overkill, but it's up to code and cannot fall down.

May 5th, deposit I believe was May 6th was the deposit looking back at it. I told them the due date when I sent the artwork and they responded with "We will have it done in time", on May 31st I get this: "These shipped out today and will be there on 6/3/16 as promised." As for UL, there is a...
  18. Don't do business with Esco Manufacturing

I just need to get UL Listed and start my own production facility, around $300,000 in basic equipment, but worth it. IF that ever happens, perhaps you guys would be interested in buying them wholesale. :rock-n-roll:
  19. Don't do business with Esco Manufacturing

I didn't have a choice, they auto charged my credit card and it's going to arrive on the 6th. I agree it doesn't make sense, the president first said he would look into it, then pawned me off to the sales manager to deal with and the sales manager Bruce was rude and wouldn't do the right thing...
