A HP latex printer will do what you need and won't break your budget.

Anyone with a Summa cutter can print the rego marks with a bar across the print start then the cutter will check the amount of bowing and compensate for distortion.
Yes but it doesn't matter if they're embedded or not if the same profiles are selected in Illy and the rip.
Just use the Nth American General Purpose option in Illy colour settings, then use the same profiles as that in Onyx.
I use the default colour setup in Illustrator - SWOP, srgb - and work in CMYK and save as native Illy PDF.
Then setup your Onyx quicksets to use the same profiles for your input iccs.
When I load media now it asks if I want to keep the media advance settings or reset.
That's new isn't it?
