Good lord isn't this sorted yet?
The thing would have been insured so any supplier worth their salt would have made the sale right to keep the customer onboard, then sorted out the paperwork later.
You're clearly doing something wrong.
I use 10.2 and profile generation is awesome.
If you just upgraded you should still have customer support - use it before it runs out.
Just one thought. Make sure after you read all the icc patches you select "next" or "finish" or whatever.
Used to...
We love our D160R.
OPOS is easy and accurate.
Sure it's not great at 2mm high text but who makes money cutting that kind of stuff?
I just tell clients we don't cut anything under 10mm.
Yep. If you're a print provider keeping up to date design apps is expected..
Although I could probably count on one hand the number of Indesign files I've been given over the last couple of years.
I guess we're all looking at this problem.
I was just looking at subscriptions yesterday.
We really only ever use Illy and PS so the full package seems unnecessary.
What's everyone else signing up for?
Illy and PS works out to be $30 a month as opposed to $50 for the whole shebang.
I'm not sure how Thrive differs from Production House but we have one rip computer to run 4 printers and it copes well.
The only intensive processing it does it when it rips the files.
After that's done it basically just spools the data out to the printers.
Ours can rip two files at a time.
Although it sounds like they had already decided you were too expensive.
Plenty of times I've priced a quality job only to drive past a month later to see it done in cheap materials, already starting to peel off the shopfront. It's annoying but you need clients that appreciate your service...
Also make sure the correct cutter is selected in your job before ripping.
It will then generate the rego marks and the data for cutting.
You also must select the same cutter in Cutserver.
I had a look at that with a view to creating profiles for an old Epson printer no longer supported by Onyx.
I believe it's usable, but being completely command line driven not by an impatient time poor user like me.
From experience if the prints are going onto a flat surface you can laminate once they are touch dry.
If it's to go onto a curved surface, a vehicle wrap or you might need to remove the print at some stage - let them outgas for at least 24 hours.
