Sorry this problem. I think this defective parts. I know other company had the L28500 latex part burn and smoke on their machine too, local dealer send the tech replace the part and fix problem. We never had on our L25 and L28 (yet).

Jetbest USA customer service SUCK! do not deal with them specially guy name DAVID. We bought their ink for Mutoh the smartcard chip did not work, they are not really help and burn our $500.00. Don't trust them in any way. They want your money the problem is your. Bottom Line they are suck!!!!!

Keep JV3 and add the Latex. You still need solvent printer for some project.

Latex L25 & L26 great for backlit too. I was you add Latex L26 that will take care for your backlit and indoor poster paper. We recently replace 6yr old HP z6100 with Canon IPF9400s (lease only $177 for 3yr with $1 buy out). Just for indoor high quality photo some clients still like best quality.

We got similar problem and stop using it. To me the L28 media load better than L25 & L26. Less head strike on some thick material. Also warm-up and print faster too. We had to lower vacuum on banner help less platen mark on banner when it cools down.

We are doing same as ProWraps. Let it fall on the floor, we save the laminate backer to wrap finish posters, or cover the floor protect the dirt when laminate. We feed the laminate to one side other side we trim off when it come out.
