You can put Cast laminate on Calandered vinyl, but putting calandered laminate on Cast vinyl will cause the vinyl to lift in the heat. That said, 8508 is a cast overlaminate. It's not on the recommended list... but it should be fine.

Mines at default. But we use a perf that's specifically for latex, so it might make a difference. You can change it during printing... I'd suggest experimenting. Really saturated prints will likelly need a higher one... Just keep randomly touching and turning it up if it's not dry. Good news...

Print to the edge and trim. We do hundreds of 4x8 ACM, Plywood, etc... Always trim to the edge and no issues. Mostly we use cheap IJ-35... It never shrinks for the length of time ACM is up. If a customer tells us the sign is to last longer than a year or two, we may step it up to 180/IJ40.
