  1. Pricing cut vinyl

Just did this yesterday. Window and door. $ 620.00 Took about 1/2 hour and that included prep and clean up
  2. New one for me.......................................................

His explanation was, if a room gets moved to another location, the sign can easily travel along with it. I believe what's gonna happen is, there are quite a few exam rooms and they might change the numbering system according to the day's load or triage needs. There are quite a few other signs...
  3. Need Help finding type of aluminum vinyl

Like I said, good luck. Not all engine turns are equal. Sign gold is good, but I've never had it last as the description indicates.
  4. From Layering to Printed? Gloss Vinyl Printer Questions

Once you print on a lesser machine, the print needs to be laminated. It will either be rigid lam or liquid lam, but it will be all one sheen. Not various sheens like you want, til you step up to some of the move expensive machines. Keep in mind, you'll need a laminator, so put that into our...
  5. Need Help finding type of aluminum vinyl

Good luck putting that on a boat and holding up.
  6. Better way to store foamboard to prevent warp/bowing?

Yeah, I haven't had any foamboard go through this place in decades..... I think. They either upgrade or we don't do it. I'm not gonna knock myself out over cheap junk.
  7. aluminum yard signs

Got rid of almost all my screen printing machines and supplies. No matter what you're doing, the flatbed will put down 2 million colors faster than any screen printing machine. And ya don't need gripers, if you're good. If I was doing one color and 25 pieces, I can still set up a station, but...
  8. New one for me.......................................................

But doesn't that make the sign prone to being tampered with ?? I can just see a blind person moving their hand around on this thing to read it, then dropping it to the floor. Now, the seeing eye dog hasta pick it up in his mouth and the blind person hasta figure out where it goes. Just...
  9. New one for me.......................................................

Good point. You got me to thinking. I don't know of any metal walls in any medical place, either. Usually the doors are metal and you aren't allowed to put them on doors. I think this guys specs are all wrong.
  10. aluminum yard signs

You use .040 aluminum sheeting. We flatbed print them both sides, then cut them. Takes 35 minutes for both sides and then cut them on the fletcher is about another 5 minutes or so. You can step up to .050, if you want a better product. However, if you wanna save money...... 3mm ACM will work.
  11. New one for me.......................................................

Got a request in for magnetic ADA signs for a medical facility. I've searched and can't really find anything. The only thing I can think of is to get regular ADA signs and adhere magnetic to the backs. I suggested that and the guy said no, not really, we want the magnetic sign to have the...
  12. A goat and six whores...seriously?

    Ask and ye shall receive.....................
  13. Better way to store foamboard to prevent warp/bowing?

You're lucky if it doesn't warp storing it flat.... on a shelf. Most anything will eventually start to bow/warp/cup. Moisture, heat (or lack of) and other conditions will all play a part. Other than a day of two, nothing stands on end around our shop.
  14. TABC - Signage Regulation "liquor"

I believe that rule was outdated when 151% bacardi was discontinued.
  15. Painting black on polycarbonate

All these suggestions. Without knowing how large of a piece of vinyl the OP can cut, how will they pre-cut the lettering outta 60" piece of material ??
  16. A goat and six whores...seriously?

Maybe it's muslim for 2000 goats meaning virgins and 6 fun ones to play with for the ride.
  17. Lord Adhesive failure, any advice?

I was told a long time ago, regardless or what you are gluing up.... if it's aluminum to aluminum, the paint is in the way. That in actuality would be paint to paint. Painted wood to painted wood..... same thing. If something is coated with layers of paint, the only thing you should be...
  18. Lord Adhesive failure, any advice?

So, those angles are what you fastened to the sign and then the lip ?? I believe using .080 and bending the lip outta the face piece, then screwing into the top along a continuous top and bottom rail would've been a stronger and better appearance. You might get a sag, especially if the glue...
