I'm running a 1500 APC on my Mimaki JV3 and have not had any troubles. Been about 3 years on that now with no problems. Has saved me on a couple of occasions. It shows about 24 minutes of run time on full battery.

I run a JV3-160S and a FC8000-160. I use the software/macro install that came with Graphtec to cut out of CorelDraw. I print from Flexi and Onyx. Works like a charm. You can watch the "how to" videos on the Graphtec website.

Oh, if it's a small cut, I print on clear and do a contour cut - or figure some kind of two color print and contour cut. Even on an Edge print. I don't do much small stuff anymore, but I used to. Good point on the script/crazy serif fonts.
