  1. Real Estate logo usage for mock-ups?

I may have been the one to misunderstand, but that's what it sounded like to me. As for tips... Real estate agents want the fastest turn around, for the cheapest price . Proffit margins on real estate clients are thin. Some of them are great... Some of them are royal pains who want proof after...
  2. Real Estate logo usage for mock-ups?

I think you.misunderstand what the op is asking. He wants to start selling ReMax signs .(or another vendor) and wants to know if he can make, and post a ReMax template/example on his website . That way the agents know he sells them. Or if he's allowed to print a ReMax sign, bring it to a...
  3. Question Operating Graphtec FC-8600 over a network

Cm2 might not support tcp/IP. They're on cm4... Which is what I use .Not sure if cm3 does tcp/ip even. Cm2 is no longer supported... Cm3 also reached its end of life, and only cm4 will get updates. I'm presuming your using a really old illustrator that doesn't support cm3/4?
  4. Just In Lowe's is now competing with signs

It happens. Will it cut into your business? Maybe... But if you think vista prints quality is bad, wait until you see Lowe's. Costco, Walmart, pretty much every big box stores does canvas's, mugs, posters, etc.... There's still a big market for them. Lowe's will likely get out of the sign...
  5. About Subscription Software...

Price is $495 usd. In comparison vector.magic is $295. GT was more advanced when I tried.it... so it Could be worth the extra $200 . Not too bad of a price if you vectorize a lot... I may redownload.it and test it again. A little pricey for what it does(imo) but still much better than a...
  6. Clean edges on cnc routed dibond

We usually use a sandblock and go over the edges once or twice when we cut with a table saw. Our cnc comes out smoother... But I don't know if you can ever get perfectly smooth with ACM.
  7. RIP for AI

Yes, you can open the pdf and its still there. Well... I'm not sure if the PDF saves it, but when you save a PDF from illustrator unless you tell it not to, default is to save a copy of the .AI file with the pdf. If you turn that option off... you save a bit of file space, but the pdf has issues...
  8. RIP for AI

We actually had an issue, so I did a lot of googling on it. Basically Adobe themselves said Eps is dead, and to move onto pdf. Illustrator is either transparency on, or off... For basic stuff it works .For stuff like shadows, or anything "fancy" if you don't flatten it, you're going to lose...
  9. Question Corner Hole Template

Like this? Center/Radius Finding Tool I remember when Firesprint posted it... looked cool and I wanted one, but never ended up getting one.
  10. Everyday economy cast for flat signage?

Ij-35 is a monomeric, which is why it's only a 3 year vinyl . We haven't noticed ij40 shrink on us ever. If it does, it's not noticable. We have signs we printed for parking companies that have been in the field for a good 4-5 years and they still look fine. That said... All calandered...
  11. Thick line attributes? Outlines? Strokes?

Upload the file somewhere so we can have a look at it? Unless it's something you can't share. Where the square is a "?" It usually means you have multiple objects selected that have a different fill color, so it can't display a color.

  13. Need Help BEST Software or add on to VECTORIZE LOGO

  14. Everyday economy cast for flat signage?

I know you've had troubles with 8508 in the past! One of your posts was why I was Leary of trying 8508 .But it hasn't shrunk, and there's been no issues for us so far. I'm hoping you got all the bad luck. You've also had bad luck with 8518, haven't you? We use probably 10-20 rolls of 8518 a...
  15. Everyday economy cast for flat signage?

If you like Luster instead of gloss, 8509 Is the Luster version of 8508. Should be the same performance wise! I never even realized it was a Cast. It feels like a Calendared to me...It has very little stretch, and it is only a 4 year. 8519 is a 8 year overlam in comparison. It's been a great...
  16. Everyday economy cast for flat signage?

Our supplier pairs it with 8508. I've read on here some people have de-lamination problems with 8508, but so far we haven't had an issue with it. We've got a couple Avery/Oraguard samples out in the yard to test durability, so far it looks good with no issues, but it's only been a year, so we're...
  17. Everyday economy cast for flat signage?

Any reason it has to be cast? Ij40 is a 7 year vinyl. Its what 3m recommends for flat signage. Ij35 is a 5 year. We use ij35 on real estate signs that we expect to be garbage by 2-3 years, and ij40 on long term signs . Calandered gets a bad rep due to all the cheap crap out there. There are...

  19. Sheets and smaller rolls on HP latex

I've used a 24" x 24" sheet, and printed about 15 inches onto it fine. It didn't like it... but I didnt get a head strike or anything. You just have to ignore all the errors. And I guess it depends on the Media.. Some media likes to curl with heat, so if its a cheaper Media you'll likelly get...
  20. Applying vinyl lettering to latex painted walls

3105ght is orajet. Otajet was my phones auto correct, sorry! 180-LSE is 3M. It's a cast material used for wrapping. You can cut letters out of both... We do all the time. Orajet is a pretty good calandered, it doesn't shrink too much.
