Stu - you can wake up now :) Select image; choose one of the trace options OTHER than quick trace; in the Power Trace dialog, on the 'Options' tab, adjust the 'Smoothness' and 'Detail' sliders and check the node count in the 'Trace Results Details' at the bottom of the tab. Cheers! Lyle ..OK...

Thanks Rob, and yeah, I know what you mean about curves vs. b&c :) But the same would hold true for getting the 'curves' dialog to "stay put" for each image :) I have 189 images to 'adjust' and it gets REALLY tedious bringing up those dialogs for each one, even with the keyboard shortcuts :)...

Thanks! I had thought about that, and if they were all requiring the same adjustment, that would be a great way to do it...but these are all different.

Anyone know if there is a way to keep the 'Brightness/Contrast' adjustment dialog window 'open' with successive files? I have a lot of images to adjust and it's a real PITA to have to open that for every one...I know it's a modal dialog but is there a way to have it on the tool bar or in some...

I ran into a situation just the other day that required this type of fade and I achieved a reasonable result with the mesh fill tool in X3. Here is a quick version; I added more nodes to the one I used, but it was quite easy to do.

In addition to what 'Chopper' says about lowering the heat, what I do when printing banner with my SP-300 is attach a weight to the leading edge of the banner material and leave it there until enough has printed that their is sufficient weight to keep it taut. This has cured, for me, the problem...
