  1. Is this possible?

Could be...Roland recently lowered the price on the SP-300V. And the one you quote is for a discontinued model (SP-540). But what's the shipping cost from Asia? Roland warranty still applicable? And the big one is, will Cosmex or Techno-G support it? :) :) :)

  3. Longest cutting length Roland Camm-1

No dip switches to set; this it the max. length for the PNC-1000. Not familiar with Flexi but you will have to panel anything longer than 60".
  4. DVD Burner for Macintosh?

Fred - another thing to ensure is that the software for the drive will run under 9.1. As an example, I tried to get my iPod mini to hookup to a friend's older iBook (9.x) and no go; software was for OS-X only :(

  11. Got to make a choice Graphtec or Roland

Robert - I have been cutting directly from Corel for years, no stunts involved, the only cobbled-up software used being the Windows drivers that were supplied by my cutter manufacturer, Roland. :Canada 2:

  13. How to crop letters out of a picture? so to speak...

One of my favourite 'training methods' is to just take my time and go through each and every tool and menu item in a new program and experiment with what it does and make a few notes to interesting ones and how they could be used in context.
  14. How to crop letters out of a picture? so to speak...

...and experiment with the 'extract contents' and 'edit contents' as well...Powerclip is a very handy tool to know about :)
  15. Do you have a graphics Degree?

Self-taught. My first 'real' sign job was when I was about 12 or 13 years old. It was to correct a spelling error that the local sign painter had made on one of my late father's buildings :) ... see the other current thread on this topic :)
