Haven't heard one way or the other but it would seem to me that they go hand in hand.

My understanding is that Omega will not be developed any further other than bug fixes etc. and that 5.0 is the end of the line for Omega.

At worst it's a gray area. If you were using it to create a logo or a layout for the OP, no one would have much to say.
