  2. Ethics 101 Maybe

This reminds me of about 12 years ago I worked for a sign company for a couple days. I asked the owner why she decided to go into the sign business. Her reply was her husband had a lot of money to spend and they wanted to put all the small sign businesses out of business. I left that day...
  3. Ethics 101 Maybe

your first sentence: Would you, if you could, put all of the other sign business in your area out of business? No. Why do you want to do that? The talented sign shops you can learn from and will be in business a long time. A better move would be to make friends with them. The dumb ass low...

  6. plotter cutting funny

hi Randy I am not sure if this will help but one time my Roland was cutting funny too so I took out the blade and put a *very small amount of oil* on it as it seemed like the blade was sticking and not cutting properly (not completely cutting a full circle for 0's etc) The oil worked. It cuts...
  7. Printer problems

sorry John I don't know what the problem is. I have gone thru quite a few printer problems myself, and have always found throwing them in the garbage a great relief if they don't cooperate. Epsons were always huge troublemakers for me. I just recently went to get a new printer and asked for...

  9. Signs 101 Business Model

thanks for the answer Fred. However in my opinion, when one chooses to become a moderator, it would be best to be neutral as far as having favorite personalities. I realize it is your forum, and you do a great job and have helped a tremendous amount of people with this site. But you are taking...
  10. Roland Camm1 not aligning properly?

mine did that a few times when I first started using Oracal. The rolls are shorter than others. I had to make new marks to line up the Oracal.
  11. Signs 101 Business Model

wow Fred. Guess you don't like darlak. Not sure what he did to you, but he doesn't seem so bad to me? I have even seen you quite often posting in the no holds barred section, so yeah that was a good idea. I guess the popular ones are those who constantly chime in to let us all know what...
  12. Signs 101 Business Model

wth you want to get rid of people for? Nobody likes everybody. But when people get picked on because they are new, their designs suck, they don't 'pony up' or they don't know as much as some, why do you want them gone? Then this would become a very boring forum. I have been to sign...

  14. Signs 101 Business Model

I would say if you feel the way you do Fred you should sell signs 101 while it is ahead. You seem to have a great thing going with lots of merchants and if it is getting to you, it might be time to sell. Seems like this is what happened to letterville. It was great for awhile, then the...
  15. Old Camm1 Plotter problems

I have had my Roland PNC 1000 since 1989 also. A couple times the handle got loose, which caused the same situation you are having, so I had a friend take off the top cover and tighten a couple screws. They are great machines!
  16. digital cameras

I used to be only a canon fan too, but the last one I had, only lasted a few months. I have the same camera as fenris and love it. Easy to use, rechargeable battery and under 100.$
