Use a heat gun. It takes us about 5 minutes to remove a 2x8 ft window, usually in one to 2 pieces with a heat gun.
It also probably depends on the window perf... I imagine the cheaper stuff leaves behind a lot of residue.
.we never have any residue left, and we redo windows every 3 months for...
You could try "proofing" the file and sending it to your paper printer. I've never used proofing for that... We get really don't proof on onyx. But you could set it up to be paper size... Hit proof and it'll auto resize it to whatever you want, and send it to whatever printer you want...
They both last a pretty long time.
Latex is instant dry (no offgassing), no smells/fumes
Solvent has a wider color gamut.
You can't really go wrong with either type of machine. It depends on what your doing..if you need specialty ink, where it will be installed, if you need quick turn around...
Gerber's are great if youre doing small runs, and don't need custom colors. Ours sits in a corner un-used... It's perfect for black only decals, lasts a lot longer than solvent / latex. It's good for short runs like helmet decals, not so good for custom sticker orders. I think the quality is...
The offgass time for the Epson is 6 hours... So you could offgass in one day.. if your working 16 hour days.
Can you post a closeup picture of the epson on a solid color? Our Seiko h274s is more grainy than latex is. It's the only solvent/ecosolvent I have experience with, so it may just be...
We usually use mactac for frosted, their b free seems to be the same appearance for cutting as their normal. It does say it's not best suited for cutting, and is mainly.for printed though. I've only ever cut bigger designs on the b free for testing.
Generally we just use true stock also...
Go over it with a heat gun before pulling it off. If the vinyl is wet no matter how low tac it's going to remove the vinyl. We try to leave it for at least a couple hours.
There is also bubble free frosted vinyl.. we haven't used it for any job yet, it's mainly for printed installs. We had a...
Window perf if you want a full white / red background... Or even printed vinyl.
If they're ok with just the letter... go with cut vinyl. For something like that, we'd probably recommend window perf though. Sell them on a logo of their store in the top windows, and an "Opening soon" in the mid...

This is for the ink. The printer is fine in -25 range... As to whether it'll freeze or not, I don't know. But it'd probably affect the quality of the ink. I'd get a decent room heater, and leave it on... It'll be...
I believe high performance. Calandered is polymeric. It's not a gimmick to fool people, but it's still not a great material. Alot of the cheap crap is monomeric ... Then polymeric came out. It doesn't shrink as much, and lasts a few years longer than monomeric. It's good for hobby and temp...
I don't think you'll find one. We use 180, and it's a pita to cut small letters.
For diecut you shouldn't need air egress though.. usually our diecutsnall letters we use 3m 7725 vinyl, never any bubbles.
Not much help, sorry!
I only keep scraps of certain materials... Ones I cut small letters / do lots.of weeding of. Co-worker spends 10 minutes weeding stuff with small letters...
I just grab and yank. 99% of the time it comes off clean... The other 1% o throw a scrap piece in, re it the letter and I'm good to go...
Because cloud backups are the most reliable. I can backup to Amazon, and it'll be saved on East coast and on the west coast... Two different locations. What are the odds my data, a server on the east, and a server on the west coast all fail at once?
I can copy it to a usb.. but im a 6 minute...
I'd back up offsite.
Blackblaze and crashplan are both good. Unlimited data for pretty cheap. They're a bit slow on the transfer end... But if you don't plan on backing up 20tb frequently they're good.
Google drive is a bit more expensive... But for business is also unlimited data. Google...
I don't think certification means much, to be honest.
There's a ton of shops that do wraps in Vancouver/Toronto... People look more at price than certification.
It's not bad to take the courses... But I wouldn't focus on it. It's much better to get more experience... Check out videos from...
They have a warning saying not to update on their site because cm4 isn't compatible.
I made the plunge anyways, seeing as how it keeps 2017 installed. I copied cm3/4 over to 2018... Cm3 caused a crash.
I don't like cm4... It's better in every way, but I'm used to cm3. So I'm hoping they...
Search eBay for cb15u blades. They're cheap... Probably won't last asong, especially with sandblast material, but at 1/100 the price it's worth it. Uscutter is a bit more expensive, but they have better blades...still way cheaper than OEM blades.
I've never cut sandblast before... But I was...
Our techs dont care where the parts come from... We spend so much money on media / ink / consumables, that its in their interest to get our machine working.
That said they told us they dont warranty it - If the head is faulty (Slim chance), it's our problem and not theirs... So when/if we get a...
