    The Graphtec is a great plotter. Flexi is a great program. Get them both. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have Illustrator in your toolbox also.

    On my Valuejet I usually turn the heat down or off completely and raise the heads to the high position. That should get you the best results.

    the city my shop is in has about 30,000 people. But the area I service has about 220,000 people. There are only about 4 other real shops in this area but non that offer all the other services like we do. That helps alot with drawing in the customers to us.

    EternalAudio, Your kidding right? Your trying to Rip & Print a file to a desktop printer? That function is for large format printers not desktop ones. Plus what are you going to feed through it that is going to need countour cutting? I gotta hear this one. :)

    We do a mixture. Vinyl, tape, lam, and other misc items we buy mostly from Fellers. Good pricing and free ship. For all big stuff like 8x4 sheets of everything, frames etc. we buy from the local Glantz. I toss them a vinyl order occasionally too.

    I had a problem earlier this year with one of my cutters (the Ioline) doing the same thing. Mine was a loose drive belt.

    Lot's of ram. Good video card with it's own on board ram. At least 2 hard drives. 1 big one and a smaller one for a seperate scratch disc. Also, a backup drive wouldn't hurt.
