  5. Meeting with corporate buyers

I'm fine using their PO's. That way they can track and keep an eye on things in their own way. Make sure at the end, all costs and prices remained the same and most of all be sure they received what they are paying for. However, I still insist on them signing and dating MY quotation sheet...

  14. Meeting with corporate buyers

For that kinda stuff, it's still polite, courteous and professional to send an e-mail the afternoon before the scheduled event. Also, you can call on a telephone and leave a message if they don't answer. People are way too busy doing nothing to be insulted by a sign person or plumber or...
  15. Does anyone use a solvent recycler?

All of our solvents and crappy stuff goes to our local ballpark in the area. Late spring they let anyone bring in as much as they want..... within reason. Approximately 2- 55 gal drums worth is about the limit. No questions, just drop it off and they take it all.
  16. Menu board for a bakery/ice cream shop

Is this gonna be inside or outside ?? Is it gonna be hung, stood up or flush mounted ?? Economical has two meanings. Cheap or best bang for your buck. For a menu, I'd go cheap, if they don't mind the flutes in their menu, cause they'll be changing prices out all the time
  17. What are "Presses"?

Yeah, it looks like a tow truck sign, not pizza pies. There a colors to use when making signs for food or food places and then there are colors to stay away from, when making signs for food or food places. This designed didn't seem to know either rule.

Good for you. Don't be put off with his ordering you not to lie, but that is very unprofessional for him to say at a first meeting. As for lowest bid...... my answer would've been merely, you get what you pay for. Just be careful, frenchie. That farming out BS is just they don't want an...
