this thread has taken on a life of it's own hasn't it. anyone hear from the OP on this at all? I'm not seeing much from him. seems like the guy is working out of his bedroom or something close to that so $800 for a guy like that would seem like a huge cost output where it wouldn't to an...
we all do that and very few take the time to go into a shabby looking business to see if maybe there is a nice guy inside, we just go down the street to the business that looks nice. ever been out of town and needed a place to stay and could pick out the welfare motels by sight? think maybe you...
it is almost like we need a different kind of business model where a few designers/sign makers and installers set up shop as a group, separate but equal. kind of like a hair salon where you are your own boss, rent a chair and share out what you don't specialize in to one of the others. people...
so true. how many of us and decided not to eat at restaurant because the sign looks shoddy, the building not much better? image does sell. there is a restaurant near me that I wouldn't dream of stepping foot in as the sign is horrid and makes me think the food must be too. on the other end...
I like it too as it is clean and simple without being overly done with a ton of foo foo crap that has nothing to do with your business. horrid weather, sinking tail ships and that oval have nothing to do with you or what you do and just clutter things up for no reason.
at least you didn't use all upper case Old English on an arc. keep it simple and clean as the storm, even if it is your name is confusing as it sounds more like you do repair work for storm damage. for now you would be better off just pretty much writing the company name, add a couple of lines...
we only use 3M cast too and there's no sense in having crappy vinyl around. way back many years ago we did have some to do temp jobs and other things that were short term. too many people who were all for something that only would last a few months coming back when it came off in a few months...
I have a customer with a mesh fence like in the photo and he wants to hang sponsor banners on the fence. I thought mesh banners but the mesh with the mesh fense behind it makes the lettering unreadable. also no clue what kind of weight the posts can hold as I've never worked with a fence like...
are they sending a picture of the truck or a "picture" of what they want it to say? you must have some idea what the sizes of truck doors and van sides are so you can guess some on that for pricing. as far as material quality goes, not their job to know this stuff. just give them a price...
I don't know about the vinyl but we did some signs that were backlighted for TV and there's a filter or something that you need to put on the signs. I can't remember what it is but am in hopes that someone else here might know what I'm talking about
