it's just so much easier to grab the chiseled font than do all that....but it was nice to actually know how to do it in case the customer is fussy about a certain font being chiseled...thanks.
i'd say check gerber's website....but what kind of info are you looking for? i've made acrylic awards before using my edge...maybe i could help you out.
last time i had a foil wrinkle...i called my supplier and got a replacement ups the next day...that was two weeks ago...before that, i can't remember having a wrinkling issue...if i anticipate there might be an issue, i make sure to print a certain way
i clean my print head about once every two...
techman, go into the forum lists and into the roland forum....there are at least five "ink clog, banded print, or cut issues" without having to scroll down very far...
maybe you don't have problems, but it seems like others do...
if you go into the gerber fourm, no one's asking questions...
i see alot of questions on this forum in regards to the inkjet printers - most of them are about the lines being clogged, or colors not printing correctly....
i don't have that problem with my edge...if a print has a line in it, i clean my print head...i don't waste yards of material, hours of...
i don't know how long other plotters run without sending out for major maintenance...but i have a gerber super sprint (bought in '88 or '89)....it was sent to gerber once in 2001 for maintenance...i don't currently have it up and running because it's not necessary, but if i needed to, it just a...
i installed a 16in x 24in solid brass wall plaque with five studs...i siliconed the studs, and shot a little extra on the back of the plaque...stuck the studs in the predrilled holes and pushed it into the wall..no problem...
a couple years back i put three 18in cast metal letters onto a stucco...
i only use vss for their sign frames.....the only thing i can think of is to look through any paperwork you might have received at the show...if anything shows that the special is through the end of the year, i'd jump on them.....if not, then i'd find someone else to get my equipment...
