It's 90% awesome for me.. had a few problems that were easily fixed with a phone call and a screwdriver so far. However mine has become rather finicky about registration marks. NOTHING wrong with them, nothing weird about the file but it will just decide NOT to like a mark and give me a mark...
Hmm... so in that case I'd be safest running a cut THEN clearcoating after the cut has time to open up... I've had problems though peeling after coating like that. Soaks in along the edges but also compromises the liner. Because I normally clearcoat BEFORE cutting.
Right, I going to provide a coated and uncoated sample for my guy to test... I thought testing was the best way to go. Just feeling things out and I figured if I got an overwhelming "WONT WORK" then I could just stop it there you know?
Thanks!
Anyone have experience here? I've got a customer looking for decals for a surfboard line, and I'm wondering who else here has done this... I'm guessing that the resin would act against the ink (eco-solvent) if not clearcoated or laminated. I laminate normally with water-based clearshield.
Any...
used eleventen. killed my capping station, dried out the seal and destroyed a pump... had lots of other problems as well but the worst was the volatility. they STINK. I didn't believe it until the tech who replaced the parts told me about his experiences with it. I'm not saying stock-or-nothing...
Anyone used both of these materials? Looking for a supplier for the 3m.. need to get samples of both for comparison. Don't have MUCH call for it but I know I could do twenty or thirty hoods a year if I could find a reliable outdoor-worthy material. I've searched the threads but found mostly...
Seen the "choppers". They're garbage... total pieces of shit. "Build" bikes? If you call piecing together pre-made parts "building" then I suppose.... we've had a few in the detail shop I am next door to. Holes drilled in chrome to run cables, poor fitment, crappy parts... just basically total...
Running Flexi 8.1 and the RIP that came with it. I am starting to run more and more decal jobs of 1000 qty and larger.... I have been dealing with this particular problem for years now, never posted to try and resolve it.
It's maddening. I start off a nice run of decals, hear the printer start...
Yeah, according to the guy who brought the ONE in... he seriously treated it like gold, had it sealed and looked nervous when I touched it... said he had been all over the place looking for the nos ones. He seemed convinced that there are no more but if I find them I'll be sure to let you know...
Are you kidding me/?????? The photo I have tried and tried and tried to upload REFUSES TO, and now I pick one at random and there you go. This uploader SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, here goes. I can vector these, but I'm looking around quick-like to see if this is replicated. The one sample my customer could find was print-on-3M reflective, but they're not available and he's restoring an old CASE tractor. Any idears?
I'm gonna follow this one, couple questions. Why are you trying to use a cutter vinyl to print on? Secondly, it's rated for thermal printing or so I've found on a few sites so the question there would be what method are you using? The other questions I have depend on what method of printing...
