Mine is more like redneck hammered aluminum but here goes nuthin'.
Two thicknesses of HDU scrap hand cut on a bandsaw thingy with black smaltz & aluminum leaf.
Thanks to Gino for the panel (Did my panel ever get there?)
And thanks to Tim for lunch at Primanti's.
Tim got my 2¢ tour of Pittsburgh (I'll only drive in as far as the strip district) a 3¢ tour of Mars, and a 1¢ tour of Butler.
Rach made supper in her new crock pot, Liam slobbered on Tim's...
OK good.
I am just so sick of these fly-by-night start up places that come and go, leaving only a bad memory. I am trying to do more designing as I get older. There is just no money in signs around here. If you want a good sandwich, stop in sometime at Porky's I got a real job there two weeks...
I was up to about 156 at the beginning of summer but since I started this job, I'm at 151.
I told Tim I want to weigh 130 by my 50th birthday next July.
Have been wearing my Shape-Up shoes to work and am developing a damn fine @ss if I do say so myself.
I'm in Butler too, an established sign shop since 1985.
I can even paint signs.
Don't expect to make much money.
The market is totally saturated here.
Learn proper pricing structure if at all possible so you don't do further damage in my neck of the woods.
You make the third new "sign shop"...
Damn thing.
When I used SG I was cutting it with my 4E, adding or subtracting weights.
When it's cut too deeply it's a frigging pain in the c*nt to get off the backer.
When it's not cut deeply enough it's too hard to weed.
Try throwing it in the freezer for a few minutes?
If you have a big worktable lay the masked signgold face down.
You may want to slice "weed lines" thru the clear backing and peel off a section at a time.
Signgold looks great but can be tricky.

Hahahaha to all of the above, some I've seen and some are new.
I swear we had that Jesus light switch when I was a kid.
Maybe that's what's wrong with me.

I'm very pleased about this. When installing Corel you get a slide show of past winners and all I could think about while looking at them was how much better Joe Diaz's stuff is.
It's about time a sign-trained person gets recognized for being a great and powerful designer.
Hooray!
