    You're kidding, right?
  3. Back in the saddle again!

Welcome from PA. I'd suggest keeping your brush skills up as well as relearning your plotter. I try to do as many hand painted signs and elements as the public will allow. Love....Jill
  4. New sign for my shop...finally

Did I ever mention that I hate italics? :)
  5. how do I attach Letter track to acrylic properly?

Another tip is not to make the tracks too close together. Remember to add a bit of breathing room so the letters can be inserted and slid around. Once the Weld-On #16 is stuck it's stuck. I once had to replace three 4'x8's cuz the tracks were too tight. Love....Jill
  6. Mounting Posts From Behind??

All I saw was mounting from behind and signboy in the title. I read too damn fast. Dammit.
  7. Fake wraught iron look.

I'm trying that this week on a gift sign.
  8. Bigdawg Needs Our Help

All I can offer at this time is a bump. Love....Jill
  9. New sign for my shop...finally

Keep it below the roof so it's "framed" by the negative space of the building. Try A&S Truckin' Thick and Thin for the SIGNS, its G is more G-looking. Love....Jill
  10. New Logo

As has been said, the fonts are bad and it makes no sense, unless you are using a roller to do graffiti. Kiwi makes me think of green not red, and those cute little birds or that fuzzy scrotum-looking fruit. Using all-caps with a display font is as bad as putting an X in graphics. Trash this...
  11. So...I want to start a yard sign business.

I would strongly advise you to choose a new career path. Unless you like living hand-to-mouth. You'll make more money working at McDonald's. Honest. Love....Jill
  12. Medicine Show banner

Just say it's an archaic spelling. It looks real good for a quickie. And I'm kind of snobbish about old-timey things. Love....Jill
  13. D&T Graphics

D&T is the best. They always treat me right.
  14. Question: How to mask out grooved areas for paint?

I'd gild the letters. That thing is really rough looking. Gild, outline with black, make the border black. Gild the swan too but first paint a black circular shape behind it or even do a water pictorial. If he thinks that looks good as is he'll tinkle in his pants if he sees it tarted up.
  15. Question: How to mask out grooved areas for paint?

Is that really an antique? You might have been better off using flat exterior latex.
  16. Bonne fête Baz!

Have a great birthday, mon ami. Love....Jill
  17. Question: How to mask out grooved areas for paint?

I think repainting it would totally destroy the antique value, first off. You might try thinning some lettering enamel down with boiled linseed oil to make it almost a stain. Then carefully repaint by hand with a quality trim brush, using a quality artist's brush for the tighter areas. This...
  18. Sprinter...yikes!

    Yay! Win/win all around.
  19. Anyone ID This One Please?

    Just guessing. Britannic? http://new.myfonts.com/search/britannic/
  20. Mask Question

It doesn't take much to confuse me but this did. I can see using a mask for an airbrushed area (is it a design?) If it's not a design you might want to use regular autobody paper masking/masking tape. I'd wait at least a day or two. (I don't trust 1S & worry about it lifting) If anything does...
