  8. Putting the stripes on a Cobra tonight. Any tips?

Here's how I did it. I think I could do it in one piece if I used air release vinyl but with Oracal 751 I ended up with a 1/2" seam at the front edge of the scoop on each side. The excess width of the stripe was cut after the scoop was covered. Eat a banana or two before you cut on the car!

I have a domain name that I'm not using. Do I use that for my blog... site? I know so little about blogs that I can't even think up a question to Google if that makes any sense. I Googled "blogs for Dummies" and it helped a bit.

Thanks guys. Klem... that colour is supposed to be the colour Carroll Shelby raced under so a lot of Cobras are painted "Guardsman Blue".
  11. Blogging... what's that like?

I'm interested in starting a blog... I think. To post something to a blog is it like posting a few lines and a picture on Facebook? I just tried that and it's really easy. Is that what a blog is like? Maybe there's a link to "Blogs for Dummies" someone knows about?
  12. Putting the stripes on a Cobra tonight. Any tips?

Ugh. Just realized I forgot to post-heat the tricky spots like the hood scoop and chin scoop. Oh well not a big deal to head back down. I should get a digital temp gauge for this. What surface temp am I going for again?

  15. Putting the stripes on a Cobra tonight. Any tips?

The car handles like a dream. It's the insane power to weight ratio that us mere mortals have to get used to. As I recall there were a few deaths in these things back in the day. You plunked down 6 grand and they handed you one of these... whether you could handle it or not. You can get into a...
  16. Putting the stripes on a Cobra tonight. Any tips?

I meant intimidating to stripe. Actually it's intimidating to drive too. It's got almost 500hp and weighs a thousand pounds less than most sport sedans. Fun for sure but you have to be careful too.
  17. Bicycles...............

Perfect. They can take the dog too! Needs an umbrella.
  18. Putting the stripes on a Cobra tonight. Any tips?

Here's a before pic. Intimidating isn't it? The hood scoop is a bitch. I'm putting on dual 7" stripes 1" apart.
  19. Putting the stripes on a Cobra tonight. Any tips?

You'll get your finished photos once I've finished the @#$% thing. Stripes suck. My thumb hurts. (I'm going to pee before I get in the thing again. Wet spot problem solved.)
  20. Bicycles...............

This is for exercise? Get a one speed that weighs a ton. Add a water bottle, pump, horn, back rack, etc. Much more exercise than a 21 speed light weight. In fact... get a tandem and remove the rear pedals. Take the goddess with you. (sit in front)
