Techman is the best qualifies to answer, but I believe at least two would be better. There is also the issue of the windows swap file.
  2. need some help here

Gino's advice is on the money. He, like a few others, is one of the stone-agers and he knows. A 30 inch printer would set you back between 8 to 10k. Then you have to consider whether or not you will want a laminator, which start at 4k for a good one. For vehicles, lamination film is strongly...

All of the printers have different intended uses. What are you were wanting to expand into and what kind of budget have you slated?
  4. MASTER Vinyl Cutter Plotter (Desay Canada)

The problem with the Desay cutter is greed (customer and manufacturer) and QC. Considering where it is made, and for about $50 USD, the machine could be greatly improved. It is no wonder that Desay is not looking to make the improvements, with so many uninformed people willing buy the...
  5. Heeeeellllllllpppppppppp

In his defense, he sublets his prints. Many do not understand the technical aspects of the process because they have never dealt with them. It gets even worse when people who own printers do not understand - which is very common also.
  6. Heeeeellllllllpppppppppp

  9. Hard Drive Problem - Access Denied

Techman will be the best to asnswer this BUT.... "My Pictures" is associated with the "user" and the "name" of the machine. There may be other ways to get to the files but try and see if you can remember what the names were on the older machine. Entering them should alleviate the issue...
  10. I'm in LOVE!!!

The only thing ridiculous is that people in business do not ask for what they and their products are worth. Kerri, congrats on the success you have experienced so far. A word of caution - be careful about pricing low, or even just lower than the competition. It is way to difficult to try and...
  11. Vista!!!!

100% correct. We had the last RC installed on our machine. Looks cool, good for home users, but for those in business..... - MAJOR memory pig! - Different protocols will create learning curve. (e.g - Where is file located, changing "permissions", program inplementation. Blah, blah...
  12. hi !

You can use basically anything BUT we prefer that customers send us TIFF's @ 300 dpi , reduced to 25% of actual size WITHOUT resampling of the image.
  13. CX and Bitstream Navigator...

nope....open Bitstream often and everything works seamlessly. Just a thought....unload all of your fonts, just necessary fonts. From there see if an individual font is giving you agg. I just had one font loaded that caused all sorts of funny things (no lock up). The end result was removing it...

Te - The answer to your solution is call Desay on Monday morning. As for Buddy giving you a lecture - your original post stated: There are a few people that are having some luck with these machines, but it is like throwing darts with your eyes closed. The point is that you should have put...
  19. cheap plotters...

If you buy quality you but it only once. End of story. The cheapies that are selling like hotcakes at a festival lose drastically when dealing with small and fine cuts. Curves are ridiculous, and only get worse with the larger machines. Jeroen - You yorself stated that it has snowballed...
