  1. Triangle Inks - To move or not to move.

yup. I have a bad liter of magenta right now. however one phone call and I have a new bottle coming for tomorrow. I still wouldn't go OEM. I just hope Triangle follows these simple business practices listed below. 1) pull head from ass 2) test ink before shipping
  2. Epson DX4 Print Heads - Are they all the same?

I stopped buying heads from my roland dealer as they are trying to sell them for a grand now. You still need to buy them for the proper machine. Each head ranking is different for each brand machine. I bought a mimaki head once and the ranking was totally different. You can run the head...
  3. Triangle Inks - To move or not to move.

triangle I've been using them for three years. I love them. I do a good amount of volume so I save a ton of cash every year. They are harder on the machine and you need to do more cleanings. the inks also have a strong odor. I built a special vent system for my Roland, along with an...

best of luck to you. there is definitely some bad ink floating around.
  5. Problems with Triangle Ink

that's funny. My vendor asked Triangle if they knew of any problems with their black ink. Triangle denied any issues. I love this forum because we now have proof that they did have a bad batch. People will start having problems with magenta next. Luckily my vendor is awesome and got me a...
  6. Problems with Triangle Ink

Anyone else having problems with Triangle lately? I've used them for about three years with very little heart ache. This about two months ago I had a bad bottle of black that caused all kinds of clogging. My vendor sent me a new bottle from a different lot and black is now printing fine...
  7. roland sp540

you have a list of things that could be wrong. 1) clogged dampers 2) clogged heads 3) needs new captops 4) bad carts / ink. First thing to do is put a little cleaning solution in the cap top and let the heads soak for about 20 minutes then do a medium cleaning. It's better to do two medium...

  11. Roland Sp540 Creates Banding lines on Cyan

did you stop the print and do a test print right off the bat? did you change the dampers?
  12. Roland Sp540 Creates Banding lines on Cyan

replace the damper. ink starvation. the head holds enough ink to do a test print fine, but if the damper is clogged or has too little pressure the damper cannot fill the ink cavity up in the head adequately and causes ink starvation which leads to banding. If you are using OEM inks a new...

Nice. Glad it worked. Thanks for posting a pic of the encoder strip. I was busy yesterday and could not get back to this thread with the encoder location.

  16. 745ex Carriage Arm

I don't need any replacement parts I need to know if anyone knows how to adjust the thing so it stays open when the lever is pulled. My lever has never engaged even when it came out of the box from Roland.
  17. 745ex Carriage Arm

Sorry. Pinch wheel arm. The lever on the top of the machine that controls the pinch wheels.
  18. 745ex Carriage Arm

My carriage arm has never stayed up on it's own since I bought the machine. My lame ass dealer (the first one) didn't know how to fix it. I've had all the covers off my machine and have never seen an adjustment for it. If anyone know how I can adjust this lever to it stays up on itself I...
  19. Roland first service

My local is dealer is probably the worst dealer in the country. Never gave me a SINGLE service call in three years. Nothing. Dropped nearly 40k with them and they barely setup my machine for me. The kicker was when they called ME for tech support on another machine they sold a guy.
  20. Soljet speed
