    you dont want printing if you will be doing it 'on the side' - maintenance would kill you Im sure you could find a used off-brand cutter for 500 tho, would need to get something that could be run from a bridge program (cocut etc) if you want it all done from inside corel.

    put a reference object in your photo - a 12"x12" square of magnet material or something - some 'known' sized object, and scale to that

    post 1 photo looks like head scraped on material - perhaps material buckling from too much heat, ink, etc 2nd picture shows some nozzle issues with K head - post a nozzle test print

    go a bit deeper? usually v-grooves for bending have a 'flat' instead of 'pointy' tip - is this the case with the fletcher?

    if you are having issues with pdfs, and don't need to modify the artwork, just import into photoshop at the resolution needed for final output and save as rgb jpg
