it has been YEARS since i have seen a pnc 1000 i do remember that clients had problems when they moved away from windowz 3.11 and that the majority of them just kept an old machine just to run their plotter. for me i would upgrade so that i wouldnt have to keep an old dinosaur like that...

just to clarify. i was asked by the company that was hiring to help write the ad, to come up with a list of questions that would help to prove the candidates knowledge of the industry, a small test, as well as i helped plan a few projects for a day of a working interview for final candidates...
about the only person i can think of that has a cnc lathe on their router table that may be big enough to do this is draper the signmaker...i know a few others that have 20" lathes on their routers but taht isn't going to help you...and to be honest most of the sign guys that have lathes on...
just as an employer is free to end your employment at any time you are free to move on down the road. you accepted the compensation you were offered, if you are not happy with the situation move on down the road.

don't limit yourself by what you have or think you know. i encourage you to go through the process of a business plan and do so completely and let your plan dictate those decisions.
for example just because your dad has property does not mean that is your best decision...it may or may not...
why do customers wait until the last minute..because we let them in most cases.
