  6. Newbie Struggling With PC 600 PLEASE HELP

Try tightening up the line pitch a little more. How clean is your calendered material? Your print head may be picking up debris on the material. Try cast vinyl. You'll get much better results unless it is a pixel going bad on the print head.
  7. SolventJet Printers (modified Rolands)

If you want to use hotter inks I'd suggest looking at the Mimaki line rather than a Roland conversion. Unless you need a printer/cutter combo machine. Give Barry a shout at printingdigital.net, he had a similar Roland setup with a bulk inks system. His website banner is at the bottom of the...

  9. Roland SP300 Versacamm

The Roland SP300V and the 540V are great entry level printers. I haven't seen a negative thread started about either model on any of the sign forums.:thumb: Choosing the size of the printer is something only you can decide.

  14. Vehicle Templates

Using a full color photo of the customers truck is a great sales tool but it's also nice to have the outlines on hand when needed. I prefer the digital camera myself but for $99. I'd go w/ the Car & Truck Collection 2006. Pro Vehicle outlines is $600 to start then apx. $250 per year for updates.
  15. Vinyl ?'s

I use medium tack R-Tape conform and it adheres well to the wax liner.:thumb: I haven't noticed the thinner paper Pro speaks of but I have experienced tearing from the edges when getting towards the end of the roll. Bad slitting can cause that and also the roll being wound to tight from the...

  17. Plotter life

You won't get much on a trade in. I would keep it until it craps out or keep it as a back up. I have a Anagraph AE60e from 97 that just won't quit. Almost 10 years out of a $2,500 plotter.:thumb: Still cuts great.
  18. Roalnd PC 600

The Roland PC 60 or 600 is best on small, short run decals. Sure it can print larger but you will be kicking yourself when to break a K ribbon 90% thru your cmyk print and have to start over. Banding issues are also something to consider with the 1/2 in. printhead. What size decals are you...
