  1. Cordless tool combo, what you like?

The 20V Dewalt set rocks my socks off. I wouldn't even consider anything else. I've owned Dewalts since the 18V stuff went mainstream and have no desire to look for any other brands.
  2. Customer brings me artwork from another shop....

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. He's apparently lost his mind. I'm guessing he must be like 30 or younger since he seems to be part of the generation that refuses to take responsibility for themselves. And before anyone gets offended, I'm 30 and I'm part of that generation. Most of us suck...of...
  3. Knowing what you know now...

As you know well Phillip, I found out that having quality designs would let me demand higher prices for my stuff. I've gone out on a limb and just had stuff designed for customers that I WANT lately, instead of just using their designs that they did in word, and cranking that out w/o thinking...
  4. Wrapping Overhead door

My dad owns a garage door company and we've done several different things to his over the years. When someone hits it w/ graffiti we change it up. Anything you use on a vehicle is fine as long as it doesn't have mega raised panels on it. We've used 751 for cut, or Avery wrapping material for...
  5. MS Word not a graphics program -Oh really?

I don't know what kind of drama is going on because I don't care about reading it, but this guy designing this is word is pretty awesome in my book. The problem would be when he gave this to me, I'd have no way to get it into a print format, unless for some strange reason it just happened to...
  6. big squeegee help!!!!

I started using Arlon laminate and never looked back. Long as I'm on a flat surface I can laminate big stuff w/ the Big Squeegee. Anything bigger than a 4X4 I normally sub the print out so that I don't risk it, but I can go up to 4X4 no problem now days.
  7. ADA? Looking for outsource please -- quanites of 8 - 10

Yep, call Gene @ C&C Engraving. They do a heck of a job, at great wholesale prices for us here on 101. I've ordered big orders, and tiny little two or three piece orders and they always treat me as if I'm one of their biggest customers. Great people over there. Gene's email is...
  8. Have never seen this happen.................

I myself have had the green/grey curse from time to time. Don't notice it as much now with my new JV33, but on the old JV3 it was non stop.
  9. What's your preferance and why?

I just had Insignia print me some stuff on Avery because he said it was great (deep down I'm totally against it from being bit by the reflective issues) but that stuff installed great and I had minimal problems for my first wrap. I will say this, I've done large graphics on trailers, etc, and...
  10. Where to outsource this bottle label.

Ha, I was just gonna say Labels2Trade too. I love these guys. They just keep making my life easier and easier.
  11. Excessive charge by a dealer for service.

Seems reasonable to me. It doesn't matter if I have a job right next door to you or not, both people would be paying me the mileage to do the job unless you two worked out a deal as "one call" or something like that. They quote what they quote. If I call a tech (and I have) to come work on my...
  12. Shout out to signs365.com --thank you!!!

365 is good, but they were better when they'd use UPS. I don't get why they switched, but I have nothing but headaches from FedEx. UPS comes way earlier too.
  13. Soooo......

Sometimes ya just gotta rescale it using their terrible "artwork" and fonts, and hit print and never look back.
  14. Shout out to Mike @ Insignia

These guys do great work, and go above and beyond in customer service. I didn't have time to print a wrap in house, and these guys knocked it out in a couple of days and I had it in hand. Great final result, and he even gave me recommendations and tips as I went along this being my first full...
  15. New Pyromedia site just launched, let me know what you think

Looks good Flame! Just wish you had banshee templates in there!
  16. Gutter Business Logo

Must be why I didn't notice anything wrong! Whenever me and my friends are feeling all patriotic, it's always stated that "This is Mercia!"
  17. If this was happening to any other software.................

Send them to you and pay you monthly to convert them instead of Adobe!
  18. Garage Door Numbers

Any cast vinyl should stick fine if it's a steel door.
  19. CS6, has it already been made obsolete?

Yea, if you have a mac you can normally work around it and save it. Even if you don't, a lot of times, you can open EPS or AI files in Adobe Reader and resave them as a PDF and you are off to the races. It does seem like someone would make something aftermarket, that could open a CDR or AI...
  20. Time to take them out of my daily sight and remembrance of how much spent....

Like others, Staples. Used to be $3-$5 I was thinking, but I'm pretty sure I only get $2 now. Either way...better than nothing.
