    Generally, they won't work if they aren't level enough. Never had it happen, but there is some sort of a safety switch to prevent dangerous situations. We've been on uneven places, but never needed an extra 5" on one end. I doubt if the company you're renting from will allow you to do it, either.

    This isn't sign related, but the incident kinda is along these same lines. My wedding date was fast approaching and we were having work done at my house, before the wedding so it would be ready for when we got hitched. The plumber was enlarging our second floor bathroom and moving things...
  10. New to HDU for exterior signs

    Don't do many HDU signs, but the Jay Cooke primer is really good. Most of the time, we'll use two coats of primer with a light sanding in between. This way you really are sure you got all the crevices. I almost always use an oil-based top coat with at least two coats or even a third for good...

    I've been using it since I learned it about 45 years ago. It also works when drilling just about anything in quantity from wood, to metal to shocard. And ya don't need a grommet to hide anything.
