When you run Photoshop CS3 on a computer with a 64-bit processor (such as a, Intel Xeon processor with EM64T, AMD Athlon 64, or Opteron processor) running a 64-bit version of the operating system (Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows Vista 64-bit) and with 4 GB or...
Since we're hijacking this theread, I've done the 30/30/30/100 with good results. However, there is no subsitution for proper media profiling.
Building and using the correct profiles for your media and printer will improve the quality of the printed image and save you money in the long run.

To get a "black" black, most rips and printers will use black as the primary color and some percentage of CMY. If all the colors were not used, the black can look a little gray.
I can't help ya with the printer though.

They found a mistake and corrected it before the transaction was complete and the product was delivered. While it may be in their best interest to honor the original price, they are in no way obligated to.
BTW, you may want to look at this...
Both programs have their place, but I prefer Corel's suite because
1) it's all inclusive (vector, raster, animation, trace, publishing and web design) for the cost of illustrator alone
2) Page size is unlimited
3) you can do multiple pages in one file (newsletters and books)
4) it works well...
Of course you keep a back up in another location - don't you?
Break out the phone book and look up computer repair - data recovery. Unless you can get lucky, be prepared to spend quite a few $$$ for this service though.

God forbid one of those faces comes crashing down and hurts someone. The last person who touched the sign is going to get sued. So, is $500 gonna cover your legal expenses? I think not.
I would entertain a bag sign as chicago suggested, but the $500 budget would barely cover the cost of the...
Hiya Doug,
At my last "real" job we used Access for database management. While it was (barely) adequate for our needs, I am lead to beleive that it is out of date by today's standards.
From what I recall, my former employer was trying to find a way to take the information originally developed...
Use Photopaint for image editing and there will be less issues.
While in Draw, I right mouse click on the image and select "edit bitmap" which launches Photopaint. Any changes maid in Photopaint can be saved back into the Draw file.

Hey Fred,
Sometimes you can make adjustments to photoshop (and windowz) to mazimize memory usage and increase performance.
Did you configure photoshop to make use of the extra memory and scratch disks/hard drives?
Do you have other programs are running in the background? You can go to the...
$2500 is a steep price for an education, but I gotta agree with Techman if you print a lot. It could be money very well spent.
This has been discussed before. Do a search for service contract, there is a lot of good info.

I gotta agree with mike on this one :)
Comparing inkjet to thermal is like comparing a pen to a pencil. Both serve a similar purpose and do their jobs well. However, each has its own benefits and liabilities.
I could list a whole lot of pros and cons on both. But I'm feeling lazy.

I have and use Pro. It works well with my estimating software and it's fairly simple to use - once you get it set up correctly with your chart of accounts, etc.
However, my CPA said I could have gotten away with using Quicken. What does your accountant recommend?

Hiya Connor,
These are legitimate questions and not necessarily "noob" related. Maybe we need some clarification from billy to understand if he's doing restorations or making new original art - perhaps something that he needs to protect too.
I don't consider myself an expert in arcade...
Hiya Stacy,
Any time you apply ink or laminate over a reflective substrate it will loose some reflectivity. While it will hardly be noticable when you laminating alone, printed graphics will become less reflective with the more ink you apply to the print.
Just a head's up. IMHO, you should not...
Hiya Billybob and welcome from PA.
Are you a commercial operation or just a hobbiest?
The reason for asking is because you do have to be careful when reproducing original artwork like this. I'm sure restorations are a gray area, however, it is copyright infringement if you reproduce the art and...
Dongles may be a pain, but if you're caught with pirated software, the joke is on you. Especially now, since more software companies are offering cash rewards for reporting the counterfeiting use of pirated software.
