    Chris is right. A well known font manufacturer actually suggests that you should use the contour tool to put an outline on their fonts. In 12 and older versions of Corel, you will get a lot of nodes. However, I was told that the node problem is fixed in Corel X3. Checkers

    Welcome Airpix. I'm thinking it's probably the bushings on the carriage, because that was my most sommon error on the 700. But, they should have been replaced when you replaced the carriage. The other thing you may want to to check, when the power is off, is whether the carriage releases easily...

    From what I recall, most of the files on the XP cd are compressed. So, finding them will be a challenge. However, if you just reinstall the windows software without reformatting the HD, you should be fine and the fonts should reinstall themselves. Checkers
