  1. Be safe iSign and Artildawn...

ok, powering down the network, taking my data & going uphill... aloha!
  2. Be safe iSign and Artildawn...

it's deadly quiet here.. well maybe not "deadly" but it is eerie down here... I've been through several tsunami warnings before, but this one has me looking at the inundation maps closer then ever before & looking down from the sloaps of a 10,000 ft. volcanic crater.. the isthmus between...
  3. Be safe iSign and Artildawn...

Kahului is not going to be closed until 10am, so I am down at my shop... it's so eerie... 10 miles up the hill by my house, there was 100 people in line at McDonalds, and traffic is crawling with evacuees.. but since there will be nothing to fear for several hours... it's a ghost town here at my...

  9. 50" big squeegee, 60" print... YES or NO? ...QUICK!!

  10. 50" big squeegee, 60" print... YES or NO? ...QUICK!!

by the way, I used a small squeegee & it came out great! (same job I asked about cutting aluminum... ended up using the router on that)
  11. 50" big squeegee, 60" print... YES or NO? ...QUICK!!

hahaha... just when the 3rd guy runs into the frame to hold down the sign or something... and someone's talking about needing 7 foot arms & I'm thinking WTF.... ... then I hear MY name in the video :thumb: "Doug did one" ...yeah, just what I was thinking... but was cool to hear someone else...
  12. 50" big squeegee, 60" print... YES or NO? ...QUICK!!

ok, I'm going to pick one & run with it in the next 15 minutes... it looks so temptingly close that part of me wants to use the BS... with 4 inches on each side (I lied, it's a 58" wide print & 68" long) that would be left to chance, it hardly seems like enough to wrinkle, but it's 3651, so I...
  13. ?'s on routed flat letters out of 2 plys of Extira

I spent about an hour reading up on Extira, after a thread last week where i got some good FCO material suggestions for my router. I'd like to do some 1-1/2" letters out of this material because I can get it locally. By the time I work on it, there may be less savings over HDU, but it is...
  14. Illustrator CS (v11) Gaussian Blur failure on drop shadow

holy crap... I went to do a little drop shadow experiment... I almost forgot how much I hate that... dang I almost had to ctrl/alt/del the program just to keep myself from trashing my laptop... Adobe really needs to fix that crap... I hope I NEVER waste a second with that feature again!! (except...
  15. Illustrator CS (v11) Gaussian Blur failure on drop shadow

except that it doesn't solve his problem :omg: ..but other than that... I agree
  16. Illustrator CS (v11) Gaussian Blur failure on drop shadow

after the first few times I've used the drop shadow feature, I ended up working on a complex file that had a fair bit of work yet to be done, after i had already assigned the shadows. What I learned is that the gaussian blur feature would constantly need to slow me down to re-establish itself...
  17. Hey BigDawg

I finally learned about that "back up to .txt file" command... great for those of us who hate to throw anything away!

  19. ?'s about cutting .060 aluminum with utility knife...

Bob and John, I know you guys are right & I sorta knew when I thought to try this instead. I had thrown the 5x10 aluminum on the 5x10 router table yesterday afternoon & about 10 pm last night, as i was preparing to leave the shop, I thought of how convenient it would be to have that substrate...
