just a thought here but did you check device manager to see if windows has reassigned the adapter to a different port? it will do that sometimes and it'll really screw things up,....sometimes it will show this as a port not found in your cutting software,...sometimes it will not

I would read the help section in QB (do a search for the topic in the help index)and find the exact specs for pictures to be placed or inserted for the program,...there may be a setting and or the program is looking for a different size picture and is screwing up the aspect ratio and distorting...

it probably has something to do with the mode of lpt port the adapter is loading,...it may need an ecp or epp type port other than a normal old centronics port to handshake with the older plotter,..the ecp and epp ports support bi directional comunications and the centronics does not,...back...
