  1. Need Help Network chip Roland VP540

regarding the oscillator, you just need to scope it (do you have access to an oscilloscope or frequency counter?) if you were in US i would loan you one. biggest pain in the ass to send something like that internationally & convince customs it is being loaned and not subject to an import fee
  2. Raises?

  4. Need Help Network chip Roland VP540

to me, the realtek chip would be the most likely suspect. second most likely is the "feed throughs" between the layers of the board IF IT WERE MINE. i would pull the system board and take to someone who invested in one of the "ovens" used to fix all those Nvdia boards that needed to be re-flow...

  10. Your order pickup process

3 copies are printed because 3 COPIES ARE NEEDED. the 3 part ncr form goes out, intact, so that EVERYONE'S COPY HAS ANY SHORTAGES, IRREGULARITIES OR CORRECTIONS NOTED, WHEN THE RECEIVING PERSON SIGNS this is a company that ships approx 600 orders a day (over $1M per day) and has to reconcile...
  11. Your order pickup process

there is no system that can correct for customers coming in NOT KNOWING company name or person who placed the order. kind of beyond the scope of the system. you can't release orders for open account customers if the identification process is YOU suggest customer names, until They shout THAT'S...

  13. DX5 two line mergeded

you could try a gasket. if the gasket was compromised IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE, you couldn't tell the difference between bad gasket and bad head. (i am trying to be a glass half full kind of guy) it's probably worth the trouble to change the gasket as a test
  14. DX5 two line mergeded

you can try just changing the gasket. but membrane might be perforated (internal damage)
  15. Not printing after ink expired

do a head soak. clamp off lines and let it go at least 4-6 hours take the line off the bottom of the captop and use a syringe to pull ink through IF IT WERE MINE. (AT YOUR OWN RISK) I would saturate the captop with a bit of isoproplyl, suck ink through with the syringe IF THAT DOESN'T WORK...
