I've got no idea. It came with my Epson S40600 when I bought it. I did notice my take up roll wasn't even moving, so that may be a problem. The adhesive is so aggressive my old laminator can't take up the waste.
I've tried tucking the laminate in the nip to secure it and the tape thing and making a light slit across but it's not deep enough and the backer pulls up hard and just ends up tearing and making a mess. I must be really dumb cause this is very hard to deal with and I cannot get it to work for...
Exactly! And I probably have to have a clean waste core cause it seemed like this poly liner just slid, even though I taped it to the waste already on the core.
Hahaha yeah I think I've got PTSD from this film. I'll try tomorrow to take a video.
Basically because it's much thinner it gets all stuck to itself when I'm trying to separate the liner from the film itself and then it makes loading it straight a bit hard.
Yes it is 3M 8518. It's just a sample roll that came with the machine. The pic isn't that laminate, I took the 3M off cause I was getting heated. So it comes off the roll on the bottom, then under the idler bar from there I usually separate the liner from the laminate and tape the liner to the...
Total newbie to everything cast. I wanted to laminate a sample print, but I cannot get the film loaded for the life of me. It's got a poly liner which and when I try to thread like I do with calendared material it just bunches up gets wrinkled and all jacked up.
There must be a trick that I...
I haven''t tried it yet. This is the first time this has happened when they don't show up in here. I've zoomed in on the cut server but they still don't show.
I was getting setup to cut some sheets this afternoon and noticed it's dropping some of my cutlines in one row but another row below it is fine. It's all the same file repeated so I'm not sure why this is happening.
I've never done any graphics for vehicles. This one is just a large oval. I'm not installing it but it's going to be fairly large, around 30". I want to apply some transfer tape to it but I don't want to order a huge roll. Is it ok to use a more narrow tape and just go over the graphic a couple...
Yes I should've clarified its the SummaCut D Series. Good to know that the others offer this though! Wish I would've know that before I bought this machine last year.
I can't laminate to a roll currently. I was thinking about upgrading my laminator since that is my oldest piece, but can't see the benefit if I don't upgrade my cutter. Also right now I've got space limitations so having two cutters isn't an option.
Right now I'll setup my jobs on sheets as kiss cuts or die cuts. I don't mix die cuts with kiss cut sheets. Typically I'll run a 54" x 24-32" sheet off my epson with the kiss cut or die cut job on it and leave them to off gas for the day then laminate each sheet and cut each sheet that came off...
Most people like the individually cut out pieces rather than on sheets. I ask what their end use is and if they aren't for handouts or to sell then I will do anything I can on sheets with kiss cuts.
I had thought about looking for a small flatbed, I see graphtec makes some, but I feel like that...
I'm kinda in the middle area right now. Cut stickers are becoming a bigger things, I regularly doing runs of 1k-3k of die cut stickers and it's just taking up a bit too much time.
Ive debated getting a roll to roll laminator but that won't work for cut stickers and it will only help me on the...
