Unfortunately Mimaki dealers sign a NDA and aren't allowed to give that file out. Have you tried contacting Mimaki directly? Sometimes with legacy printers they are more lenient on releasing firmware.

That doesn't seem right. I am a certified tech tech for that model and I haven't seen any memos about ink build up in that area which says to me it's not a common issue. Also, I have never seen it build up like that on any machine I have worked on. Are you manually entering the media thickness...
One of my customers got fired from his job because they put something like this on their shop cars and found out he was going home for a few hours instead of installing signs! There is a value to this device. But I agree about big brother getting too much info on us. I'll be a crazy mountain man...
These posts usually devolve into a lot of people talking about color theory and color spaces etc. The simple answer is, yes the profile means everything in this type of situation. What you are using is called a boxed profile which is included with your RIP so you can print out of the box without...
I'm not saying it's impossible. It's just much more likely that the main board causes machines not to power on. I would say that 9/10 it's the main board. The power supplies just have more robust components on them.
The fact that is comes back after a cleaning means it's not clogged but the ink flow is not working properly. When was the last time you changed your dampers and cap top?
Good to know. I would double check the ink lines above the dampers and make sure there are no air bubbles. If there are they will be easy to see. Since the drop out lines are horizontal, clean the encoder disc and see if that helps at all. The disc is located behind the left side cover of the...
Canvas can really suck up ink so it makes ink flow issues more apparent. If the dampers are older than 1 - 2 years, you should change them just to rule it out. They are responsible for keeping ink flow to thee head while printing. If those faded parts are vertical instead of horizontal, you...
As long as the printer is powered on, the driver is installed and the USB is plugged in, the port should be USB_PRINTER_0. If you have other USB devices plugged in it might be USB_PRINTER_1 or another number.
I've always used the pre-lined mesh but could you possibly tape down some butcher paper to the platen of the printer and run it like that and then just throw the paper out at the end?
Try going into Flexi and open the default job properties for the cutter. A window will pop up with 3 tabs and 1 should look like a blade. Click on that one and you should see options for resolution and curve quality. Make sure the resolution is set to 1016 steps per inch and the curve quality is...
Unfortunately it's not going to work until someone finds a way to crack it. When you re-install it has to validate the install by contacting a server that is owned and operated by Flexi. The problem is the server malfunctioned and they decided not to repair it.
It's not hard but it does take time and patience. The main concern is just not cutting the cable on all the sharp sheet metal. Other than that it's pretty straight forward. It's a good idea to clean all of the plastic sheets that keep the cable in the proper place. They get a lot of ink build up...
This is a post script error and specifically it is saying it's missing a certain file it needs to be able to process the image. Usually this happens when the software was installed improperly. Try a re-install.
Under $1000 you are going to have to sacrifice on size or quality. You can get a 15" Graphtec CE6000 for around $1000 and they are good machines for t-shirt material but somewhat limiting due to size. If you need a 24" wide plotter there are plenty of cheap Chinese cutters on Ebay for under...
