  1. Cap B Assembly for Mimaki JFX200-2513

Looks like Mimaki only sells them as a set of 8. What happened to yours?
  2. Artwork release

I didn't make any legal claims so not sure what you are getting at. There is a difference between hiring someone to design something and hiring someone to print something. If I hire someone to design something,I expect to receive the design.
  3. Icc profile for mimaki

Usually heat transfer companies recommend a glossy vinyl profile. If they don't have one in their download or support section, you either have to find a vinyl one that works for you or make your own.
  4. Roland Truevis SG540

I haven't seen the new TruVis machines in person yet but that head looks like it may have been knocked out of place.
  5. Suggestions About make some purchases.

I think if white is important to you, you should go with a UV printer. Mimaki just came out with it's UCJV series Roll to Roll print/cut printers and we have a demo in our showroom right now. We printed on special effect vinyls and they turned out really cool and with the white we can make some...
  6. New print head and Dampers = zero color vs300i

The two tubes from the cap top connect to a Y connector that then connects to the pump. I usually connect the syringe to the Y connector where the pump normally does and pull from there. That way you pull from both at the same time. If can't connect to the Y connector with your syringe, you can...
  7. Flexi-10 + Sp300 - working icc/linearization profile anyone?

profiles.saicloud.com You should be able to find a good amount here. It says SAICLOUD but the profiles are universal.
  8. Artwork release

I think if you specifically charged them for the design, they should get the design. If not, what were they paying for? The way I see it, you have a design product and a production product and they are mutually exclusive. It's one thing to sell a banner that happens to have design time built...
  9. Selling To California

Below are the exemptions. Looks like it shouldn't affect sign makers much. Governmental agencies and public water utilities Businesses with nine or fewer employees Exposures that pose no significant risk of cancer Exposures that will produce no observable reproductive effect at 1,000 times the...
  10. New print head and Dampers = zero color vs300i

Yes, cap the head and then pull from the waste line with a syringe. Tim Toad is just used to a multiple head machine but yours is a single head with single waste tube. Depending on how far back in the machine the ink has receded and how big the syringe is, it could take a few pulls to get it to...
  11. CJV30-160 Error 202

The 42 volt error means the circuit that controls the head malfunctioned. After that, getting the error 202 means the machine thinks the head is not and OEM due to the fact that an electrical test failed which means either the head and/or the main board is fried. The fact that the computer no...
  12. Emails continually get bounced back from one customer

I would suspect that their email filters are stopping it from being delivered. Sometimes they will not accept HTML emails or emails from certain domains etc.
  13. Suggestions Artwork difficulty

Don't worry about it. Print and laminate. In my experience black tends to hold up better long term than lighter colors. The only thing you might need to worry about is if it was being applied directly to a window with lots of sun exposure. And yes, prints will fade quicker than cut vinyl and...
  14. Flexi 8.6 not connecting with server

You would think you wouldn't need an entire server to handle at most a couple hundred requests per day. Simply routing the requests to a server they already have up and running for the current software and running a script would do the trick. All it does is accept an encrypted string, decrypt...
  15. Mutoh VJ-1624 can't get a clean nozzle check

Since the problem happens on both the 1624 and 1624x in the same colors, I would suspect bad ink. I looked up that part number and it looks like pretty obscure 3rd party ink. I would make sure the cap top, wiper, and bottom of the head is nice and clean. Then test the cap top. The cap top is...
  16. Don't waste time with high quality

Agree 100%. Also, I see people printing in uni-directional all the time because they say it cuts down on banding etc. It also slows you down in a major way. If your alignments are done properly, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference between a bi-directional and uni-directional print from...
  17. Printer won't power up

If it's an older 1204 with removable memory on the main board, you can take that out, air dust and re-install. With the machine unplugged of course. It sounds weird but 9 times out of 10 it works. If it doesn't work, you probably have electrical damage on the main board.
  18. GS6000 Overspray

It's a weird one. I guess it could have something to do with the maxi-pad and it should be easy to test out by just taking it out. The purpose of that sponge is to keep the ink from splashing back up on the head. Maybe the maxi-pad is too dense and it's deflecting ink off and creating an ink...
  19. Roland SP300v printing issues

Usually you want to replace the cap tops once per year but most people go until they fail. You can test them by capping the heads and disconnecting the pump from the cap top and pulling with a syringe from the tube. If you pull air then it is bad or something is breaking the seal. You should get...
  20. Mutoh VJ-1624 can't get a clean nozzle check

When was the last time you changed the cap top or maintenance station? If it's been over a year I would at least change the cap top and flush the waste tubes. If it is 2 or more years old, I would replace the whole thing. Also, what type of inks are you using and is it a bulk system or cartridges?
