Anyone who hunts probably has atleast: A large bore rifle for deer or antelope A shotgun for turkey or upland birds A smaller bore rifle (.17,.22,.223) for varmints or groundhogs Many carry a side arm as well, especially when hunting bear. Many would have a .22 revolver for plinking Mosh...
  2. We need an updated "show us your shop" thread

I dont have much space here, basically two rooms and a hallway(substrate storage facility!).We have a walkout basement, so that's where I "live". Nothing fancy. It's tax time, so I've got paperwork spread out on the laminating/layout/pool table right now!
  3. Mutoh No INK

Anything is possible, but I wouldnt bet on it.What are the chances that BOTH cables would become defective at the same time. Do you have a meter? Did you check for continuity in those wires? Was he a Mutoh tech or no? Do you know for sure that he checked the head fuses? Also, did he input the...

  5. Helicopter Wrap

I was told by the mechanic supervisor to be very very careful with any trimming on the skin surface. A score in the aluminum could result in metal fatigue and result in a tear. I was insane after he told me that thinking about it. I snapped my blade after every minor little trim.

So, it is self supporting? In other words, you start from the bottom and work your way up? Or do you start with some sort of wireframe skeleton?

  9. flexi-mutoh dilemma

It's all about the profiles! Flexi has a good set of profiles on the disk for quite a few different types of media.

Is working that sculpting epoxy anything like autobody filler? Or no, it must be a bit more firm from the get-go?

Wow, Charlie, Nice lift, that's awesome - you can raise your work table to the exact height you need so you dont need to strain your neck or back while weeding fine cut lettering - brilliant! :ROFLMAO: (No offense intended - it's pretty cool, really! )
  13. Cold, frigid hello from NE

Welcome to the show! I talked with my friend in Buffalo, Wyoming this morning around 7AM - he said it was minus 9. Wayne (GAC05) says its around 80 in Guam. That sounds much nicer.
  14. Mutoh No INK

well, you should always unplug your printer before servicing. you may have blown fuses when you changed the head. read that thread, and follow the link at the end of that thread and read that also. You can check the fuses with an electrician's multimeter easily. please read some more, and I...

  17. memjet wide format - extreme speed

I had a salesman stop in my shop way back, telling me all about one of these[airbrush machines], and he said there was someone local to me that bought one. I kept my eyes peeled for months and never saw anything on the street done with it.He was touting the use of waterbased paint with it, if I...
  18. Us tech laminator

I keep 36 on mine, because that is the size of my printer. Sometimes if it is SMALLER I do it by hand with the Big Squeegee - it's so quick and easy. If I have bigger prints than 36, I have outsourced them and they would come laminated.
  19. Our new location in progress

Very nice! I especially like the pool table in the back room. Billiards after work? Great idea!
  20. Us tech laminator

I'm no expert but, I leave mine loaded, but I'm using kraft paper. I make sure I have about 5 inches leader on my print, so it takes up the exposed laminate that has been sitting there since last lamination, and I keep the cover on it.
