I can understand not having short runs, but not everyone is putting in 150' ft and using the whole roll in one shot. Most of our runs are from 6' or 8' up to 40' or 50'. So, if a shop has a buncha those 6' runs, and as some here think to run off 15", that could add up to about 31' of just...

Ahh, not so fast there, CDS. Based upon your profile, you don't own a printer and pretty much therefore don't know what you're saying. Windex is a kinda big NO-NO sprayed directly on media before printing. These people are talking about printing on these rolls of media.

What does your shop offer ?? What kinda signs do you do ?? Share the specs and I'd think lotsa people will mosey up to the bar.

Sounds very fair for you being it you first time doing it and not bad for your customer. However, I think shops which do this more routinely, would be more around $2,200.to $2,500.

What happens to those rolls that have very short runs ?? Do you waste 15" or 18" on each and every loading and unloading ?? That seems like a lotta waste.
