I started a thread like this one about a year ago. I got some good tips you could probably use. I'll see if I can find it.
Found it! (Guess I didn't start it after all) It has some really good stuff in it on selecting in both Corel and Illustrator...
I always pre-paint the panel and carve through a mask. Paint lifting is probably caused by non-stick additives in the house paint. Find a brand that doesn't add non-stick stuff to their paint. Pittsburg Sunproof latex works well for me. (Use real paint mask vinyl.)
The last few signs I've...
The van's lettering is starting get a bit shabby so I think a new design is in order. I think it may be time to swap over to Show Piece Signs this spring. (I feel a thread comming on)
I like the zoomed in version. It works.
Welcome to the forum. You reminded me of a poem:
There once was a man from Devizes,
His "feet" were different sizes,
One was so small,
it was hardly at all,
and the other won several prizes!
I have Photoshop CS..... and "oldtimers".
What I really want to do is draw everything in Corel like I always do then open it in Illy so I can save it as an .ai file for my print guy. I can open an Illy file in Corel by clicking "open". I wish I could do the same the other way around. 'Twould...
Never mind....
(I had mistakenly opened Photoshop instead of Illustrator.... Photoshop won't import an eps or ai file unless it rasterizes it. Duh.)
Getting old sucks.
I've done it before but now I can't get these Corel x4 files into Illy. I tried to save my file as an ai and open that. Illy wants to "rasterize the pdf". So I tried saving my corel file as an eps. Same deal. "Rasterize pdf". WTF am I doing wrong? I gotta get these files sent to my print guy.
Adtechia's right. Post 45 and 47 are banner adds. I tossed a few elements together. Hope it might be some help to you. I made "thin skin" ....thin and "armour" ....armoured.
