Here's a quickie that I accidentally exported in greyscale.
It's supposed to have a slime green outline on Nitro.
But as you can see, in greyscale it looks like a hot mess.
Therefore color won't help it.
I don't print but I always use cast on vehicles, which has been suggested.
And do wait to vynull it up, you don't wanna have to re-do it.
And you don't wanna get yelled at if your lettering peels off their paint when they go to sell it or whatever.
Makes me think of a kid in my old...
Rick's really does it for me.
Not a huge fan of making a letter into something in a logo but his N has movement and looks dynamic.
But his logo is very clean looking to me, with a bit of a 60s retro flare.
In your examples, I would not go with the different sized letters because they look...
It looks as if the reflective layer stuck fine.
I'd blame the mist of chemicals or whatever is in the car wash environment.
And kind of blame the vinyl too for not performing.
Can you offer the guy aluminum signs to patch the bad stuff?
And use 3M Scotchlite if it has to be reflective...
I don't discuss pricing in the open forum but I will say that I was getting $7/ft back in 1990 and I charge way more than that now.
I only use good banner material not polybanner crap and I don't charge by the pound.
I also don't dicount with a group order because it costs me the same to make...
Looks like you inherited some of his talent!
Ditto on the MSculpt you need the smooth, or what the other fellas suggested.
Aluminum leaf works well when I use it and I am a lousy gilder.

Great!
And even I can kinda-sorta fudge a car drawing from looking at that book.
Cars/Trucks etc. are the only thing I have trouble drawing.

I beg to differ about cut vynull banners looking like crap.
Mine look nice.
If I want some extra effects I get an enamel-ready banner and paint them.
I'd rather see a consise, simple, elegant style for a chuch cantata than a bunch of creepy glowing Jesus rainbow carbon filled effects on a...
Looks like Don Edward's work.
Here's his book:

Mine is personally signed by him, he's a nice guy.

I'll close Christmas Eve and day.
Closed New Year's Eve too, and day (Winter Classic in Pittsburgh!!!!)
I kinda like to be open for last minute gift type jobs.
My daughter's baby is due in early January so I'll close up for two weeks whenever that decides to happen.
(probably New's Year's...
Darn it all I have is the cover of a Speedball something-or-other used as a bookmark in my 1915 Atkinson.
My 1980 Speedball book is in the attic in my big-ass portfolio from art school.
Used to hate having to tote that thing onboard the PAT bus.
I'm short, and it dragged on the ground when I...
Yes.
I went through a huge burnt out phase for about two years.
Business was slow, people only wanted crap layouts and wouldn't listen to reason, and my personal life was in turmoil.
Somehow or another it turned around and everything is OK now.
But during that time I was so uninspired that I...
I try to keep my office smelling nice with candles and stuff.
Customers are not allowed into my garage, it smells like paint and stale beer.
Had a problem over the summer with some damn neighbor cat spraying outside, took forever to get rid of the stench.
I agree, if I walk into a place and...
