  1. 3m vhb red tape...

Greg, it actually adheres more the longer it's on there.
  2. Legal advice, somebody ripped off my design.

Gonna depend on the artwork. How "custom" was the artwork? If it was just a background with a picture of the church and some lettering there aren't a whole lot of ways to deal with that so the "copy" may not be an actual copy. I'd personally find out who actually did the wraps then bill the...
  3. 50% or 1/2 off?

Not supposed to be funny. Statistics that I just made up will agree that I'm right 50% of the time.
  4. 50% or 1/2 off?

Because all mental giants come from the hills of KY. 50% off because it's easier to layout, easier to read and 50 is larger than 1/2 meaning a subconsciously larger discount.
  5. what is it worth

Could not agree more. His business is failing, he wants you to buy it from him, then he offers to come work for you for 50% of gross...while he runs his channel letter and awning business? I'm going to assume you don't know a thing about design, printing, or materials. You're in a small town...
  6. 1Shot Poster Paint

If it's only $5 per quart you should buy it even if it's just to stick on the shelf until you find a use for it.
  7. Customer Grant

You're dealing with "engineer" specs. You ARE going to have to look through the spec book to find what you need but it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to find the two or three pages that actually apply to the sign you're doing. If the grant is for $1000 to produce the sign I always went...
  8. Color life of aluminum sheets?

The sign in front of my shop is red aluminum and one side faces the sun. It's 8 years old now and the red aluminum looks good. No chalking, no noticeable fading. The vinyl on it, however, is starting to show it's age.
  9. how do you deal with the heat!!!

Just remember to dry the sweat off the weeded vinyl before you try to put on the transfer tape.
  10. Virus Help- Google Results are redirected

It sounds like the Google Hijack virus I had a couple of months ago. Techman is right....$30 spent with my local computer geek would have saved me the hell of a reformat. I followed 5 or 6 different "solutions" offered here and on other sites and it just kept compounding the problem. There's...
  11. Calling all gardeners....WHAT IS THIS ??

Looks like yellow squash, it's a little too bushy for pumpkins, I think. It looks like it's got a bloom under it, if so you'll know what it is in about a week.

  14. Incredible Hand Lettering blog

Okay, maybe it's ridiculous but I'm fascinated by seeing the work behind anything hand done. I can sit an look at old, hand drawn blue prints for hours and being allowed to look through a good sketchbook is pure Nirvana to me. Alan Ariail has a blog up now showing the work behind the work of a...

Woot pays $1000 for the design and $2 for each shirt printed after the first days $10 sale. Extremely popular designs that are resold to be redistributed through major retailers usually bring upwards of $10,000.

  20. 10mm coroplast for outdoor sign?

Gino, I get 10mm coro in eight different colors and the colors hold up for a couple of years before fading. One year outdoors is no problem. My real estate clients that use it for their 4x8 signs are getting about 5 years out of it. We don't have a problem with it getting brittle, our problem...
