Colin this is the reason I have given up taking AI files into Draw for editing. It is just not worth the effort if you have Illustrator on hand.
As for patching or not I think it depends on your relationship with the customer.
I tend to redo even with long term customers unless it is something...

I'm planning on going with the upgrade to maintain compatibility with clients files.
I'm in a good place with the ad agencies that do the art for 2 of my largest customers.
They send me the approved proofs along with the source files and I rearrange them to fit the different sized layouts needed...
Weird,
all I get is the little spinning "loading" graphic that never stops.
Entertaining but not very informative.
I wonder if it is restricted to CONUS or something.
Any other youtube video seems to work fine.

The damper removal is covered in the head replacement chapter starting on page 4-56.
Says to use a flat bladed screw driver to pop them up.
Might make more sense if you are stepping through it with the exposed head in front of you.
