fill voids, sand lightly prime with KILZ or ZINZER oil based primer. let dry, now I USE AUTOMOTIVE ACRYLIC ENAMEL to color coat it. 3 coats and it will last as long as it does on your vehicle. then when dry you can vinyl.

take off the top cover..........................4 screws........their is a WHITE PLASTIC STRIP in there.some times the END of this will come lose, or over the years this strip can become damaged or frayed.........might need a new one.
